For us at Rabie, recreation is a serious business, and a crucial component of a quality lifestyle. So wherever possible and particularly in our large award-winning, mixed-use property developments in Cape Town, elsewhere in the Western Cape and further afield, we look for opportunities to integrate various recreational facilities into the land use. Wherever possible, communal swimming pools, clubhouses, jogging trails and children’s play parks are included in our residential property developments.

Naturally, we make use of whatever outdoor opportunities the site provides, such as incorporating the wetlands of Intaka Island at Century City, Cape Town into the planning of the layout of the surrounding residential and commercial property developments, and extending this into a network of navigable canals for canoeists to enjoy. Or such as opening up the iconic Table Mountain views and access to the beachfront at Big Bay on the West Coast of Cape Town.

We also cater for retail therapy, of course, with most of our major property developments such as Century City, Royal Ascot and Westlake incorporating shopping centres as well as good restaurants, and in some instances, gyms and spas. At Ratanga Junction at Century City, the thrills and spills of Africa’s wildest theme park are also there to enjoy.

We have also been involved in the development of two of the finest golf estates in the Western Cape, namely Atlantic Beach on the West Coast and Fernkloof Golf Estate in Hermanus, both of which are in easy driving distance of Cape Town.
