We are thrilled to announce the appointment of the new directors who will guide Rabie Property Developers into the future. With effect from 1 July 2024, this strategic realignment harnesses the energy, vision, and expertise of our next generation of leaders, ensuring the continued success and innovation for which Rabie has been known for over four decades.
Speaking at a dazzling celebration of Rabie’s 20th anniversary of development at Century City, co-founder of the company Leon Cohen introduced Mariska Auret as the first woman to become CEO of a property development company in the Western Cape.
Along with fellow directors, Chris McMaster, Miguel Rodrigues and Colin Green, Leon expressed his confidence in the new team: “We are beyond excited that they will lead Rabie Property Developers into the next 20 years.”
Accepting the challenge that lies ahead on behalf of her fellow directors, Mariska emphasised their unwavering commitment to excellence:
“Together, we will innovate, adapt, and strive for greatness. Thank you for entrusting us with your legacy. We promise to uphold your standards while pushing the boundaries of innovation in the future, ensuring that the Rabie dream lives on not only in Century City but through all of our developments,” she said.
The new leadership team of Rabie Property Developers comprises:
- Mariska Auret – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
- Miguel Rodrigues – Chief Operating Officer (COO)
- Chris McMaster – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Colin Green – Director
Leon Cohen, previously CEO, will now step into the role of Executive Chairman of Rabie Holdings (Pty) Ltd, while co-founder John Rabie will step down as Non-Executive Chairman. Joining Leon on the group board will be Chris McMaster, Colin Anderson, John Chapman, and Hilton Saven. This experienced team will continue to mentor and inspire the new leadership team of Rabie Property Developers, ensuring the continuity of a culture of growth and innovation.
