Oasis Life, a new standard of retirement

The launch of Oasis Life Clara Anna Fontein in 2018, was a particularly significant event for Rabie, as it signaled a major shift into the development of integrated retirement villages within greater estates – one of the unique benefits of investing in an Oasis Life development.

Building on our experience at Oasis Luxury Retirement Resort in Century City, we have identified a vast potential for superior retirement estates that offer an excellent lifestyle for residents – the beginning of a roll-out of life right retirement developments across the Western Cape and beyond.

Rabie’s focus has always been on delivering more than just bricks and mortar – we believe in creating large scale estates and well-integrated developments designed to enhance the quality of life of those who live, work and play there. In addition to well-researched and superbly designed homes, our Oasis Life estates offer state-of-the-art communal facilities, which cater for the recreational needs of our residents on various levels. Whether you want to enjoy a relaxing mid-morning coffee at the coffee bar, meet with friends at lunchtime in the restaurant, enjoy a work-out in the gym, quietly read the latest novel in the library or attend a movie night, we want you to love every aspect of your retirement.

We retain ownership and responsibility of all the maintenance and upkeep of the estate’s facilities, which gives our residents complete peace of mind that their surroundings are kept up to the highest standards. With this long-term vision, we remain aligned with our residents and believe that your lifestyle investment is safe with us.

We have launched three different locations in the Western Cape to date:

Clara Anna Fontein Lifestyle Estate | Durbanville

Set in the spectacular Clara Anna Fontein Lifestyle Estate in Durbanville, Oasis Life was successfully launched in November 2018.  Phase one of our development is nearing completion, with several homes already handed over to proud residents.  Part of phase one is our Oasis Life Clubhouse, the nucleus of the village, scheduled for opening in December 2020.

Phase two of this exclusive retirement address is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.

Burgundy Estate | Milnerton

Our second Oasis Life development was launched in November 2019 in Burgundy Estate, Milnerton. Currently under construction, this development’s first phase, scheduled for completion mid-2021, includes a R40-million Lifestyle Centre, 24 houses and 33 apartments.

Century City

Following feedback we received during the course of our well-attended launch event for Oasis Life in November 2019, we have taken the decision to temporarily withdraw this luxury retirement development from the market until such time as substantial progress has been made with the landscaping of the new Ratanga Park.

This stunning, four-hectare parkland is such an important feature of the new development, but is a massive job in itself. It will take at least a year before the contouring of the land and the planting of the new gardens starts to take shape, making it possible to stand on the site of the new retirement development and get an actual sense of the beautiful vista it will look out onto.

In the meantime, we are taking the opportunity to tweak the architectural design of the Oasis Life Century City development in order to make it an even more attractive place to retire to.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding about this change to our scheduling. News updates will be made here and on the Oasis Life website (link below) going forward and all parties who have expressed an interest in the development will be kept informed of the new launch date via email.
