New convenience shopping centre for Century City
Planning for a new 2500 square metre convenience shopping centre near the Curro School in Century City has been approved and construction is now underway. Anchored by a gourmet Spar, the Century Village Shopping Centre is a response to pent-up demand for convenience retailing in the precinct. It will also be tenanted by a restaurant, coffee shop, a range of speciality line shops and served by more than 100 open parking bays.

Office vacancies in Century City drop to 7,4%
The continued strong take up of office vacancies at Century City has seen almost all new stock being mopped up and overall vacancies dropping to 7,4% in April from just under 10% in January this year and 12,1% in the fourth quarter of last year.
Jason Elley of Rabie Property Group, the developers of Century City, said of the 45 000 square metres of new office space that had come on stream in the precinct since November 2015, only 1040 square metres remained to be let.
