Clara Anna Fontein luxury facilities completed

Construction of the prestigious Clara Anna Fontein lifestyle estate in Durbanville, which Rabie is undertaking with the landowner, is well advanced. This includes the completion of a R50million Lifestyle Centre and the restoration of the original 18th Century Manor House.

The Lifestyle Centre, which has been constructed by GVK, includes among other things a luxurious Club House. a fully equipped gym, two tennis courts, a squash court and a solar heated 25m swimming pool. There is also a braai area and boma under the trees,  assessment rooms, a pilates /yoga studio and an old wine cellar which provides a unique function venue.

The Club House itself comprises a downstairs games room for teenagers, an upstairs reception area, an elegant lounge and an outside deck.  There is also a kitchen, coffee bar,  boardroom, ablution facilities and a host of smaller facilities.

Rabie director Colin Green says the whole Club House area will be completely off the municipal water grid. A purification plant has been installed to treat harvested rain and borehole water to drinking standards at an additional cost to the developer of around R750 000.

When fully completed, the 127ha Clara Anna Fontein estate will comprise 344 single residential homes, 126 group housing homes in The Village and a Reddam School.

In addition, an exciting new Retirement product offering a compelling lifestyle and including its own dedicated clubhouse is to be launched in October this year offering a total of 128 opportunities. These will range in price from R2m to R5m.

More than R1,2billion in sales have taken place so far including more than 100 homes in The Village with only 10 plots and just over 20 Village homes remaining to be sold.

To date, more than 40 of the Village homes have been completed and handed over with the balance at various stages of completion while more than 65 of the single residential homes have already been completed or are under construction.

Green said to date over 100 plans had been submitted to the Design Review Committee of which 80 have so far been approved.
