Leigh Metcalf, a director
Leigh started her career in the property industry in the United Kingdom with Prudential Property Service. After returning to South Africa in 1991 Leigh joined the Rabie Property Group as a site secretary, growing into the position of client liaison. In 1997 Leigh moved back to Head Office to take over the management of the in-house property management department and was instrumental in setting up of Rabie Property Administrators. After holding the position of Portfolio Manager, Leigh was appointed a Director of the Company in 2002. Initially the entire management portfolio was owned by the Rabie Property Group but in recent years RPA has grown considerably with third party clients now accounting for more than 50% of their portfolio. Key clients include Ingenuity Property Investments, Century City Property Investment Trust, Garden Cities, the Billion Group, Indigo Property Investments and V&A View Properties.
Nicola Villarini, Portfolio Executive
Nicola began her career in the finance department of Old Mutual Field Services Properties in 1992 at the tender age of 17. She progressed to leasing, to design, to portfolio manager at the age of 23 managed the Eastern Cape portfolio while based in Cape Town. She left to start her own company, Villa Steel in 2003 but in 2008 she joined Rabie Property Group and returned to property management. Nicola heads up the Rabie and Century City Property Investment Trust Portfolio as well as Ingenuity Property Investments and other external landlords portfolios comprising commercial, industrial and mixed use properties. She says her passion for property and the long standing relationships they develop with owners, tenants, contractors and industry professionals, together with thinking out the box in these challenging times, motivates her to continue to grab every opportunity to bring value to Rabie Property Administrators and their clients.
Sean Brown, Finance Manager
Sean entered the property industry in 1999 as an admin clerk/book keeper at Resnekov & Neilsen. He joined the Rabie Group in 2001 and was promoted to the position of Financial Manager gaining a variety of experience including four years in the dynamic environment at Ratanga Junction before joining RPA in 2009. Sean is currently completing his B.Compt through Unisa.
Janet Wishnia, Portfolio Manager – Retail
Janet has 20 years experience in the retail property industry. She started her career assisting the centre manager at Bayside Centre, in Tableview for 13 years before joining Rabie Property Administrators in 2004. Janet currently manages six shopping centres as well as the body corporate section of the recently developed mixed use development Crystal Towers at Century City. Janet says she finds the retail management a dynamic and exciting career and enjoys the daily challenges of a constantly changing environment.
Charmaine Truter, Portfolio and Legal Manager – Retail Charmaine started with Rabie Property Group as a Legal Advisor in 2003 and began her career with Rabie Property Administrators in 2009 as a legal manager together with managing the Indigo Properties portfolio and the Eden on the Bay shopping centre. Being an admitted attorney in the High Court of SA since 1998, Charmaine brings her valued legal expertise to RPA and has embraced the property management of a dynamic retail portfolio.
Zulfa Solomons, Portfolio Manager – Sectional Title
With 17 years experience at a variety of property companies including Chartermark, Steer Property Services and Rennies, Zulfa joined the RPA team in 2009 as personal assistant to the Portfolio Managers before being promoted to Portfolio Manager this year. Zulfa holds a Bsc with a Chemistry major but found her niche in Sectional Title and currently manages eight commercial body corporates. Zulfa consistently manages her portfolio and team with her positive and friendly attitude.
Tracey-Lee Saaymen, Portfolio Manager – Sectional Title
With 15 years experience in retail, commercial and sectional title management, Tracey-Lee kicked off her career with Broll, Trafalgar and Diamond Property Management. Tracey-Lee joined RPA in August 2010 and currently manages seven commercial body corporates. Tracey-lee notes she is passionate about her portfolio, the client is always her priority and she consistently goes the extra mile to ensure RPA provides the highest level of service to this portfolio.
