More parking for Rabie’s successful Bridgeway Precinct

Our new parking garage, P3, is complete and open for business. Situated between Virgin Active and Hillsong Church, and a step away from the successful Century City Conference Centre, Century City hotel, various Bluechip office tenants and choice retail which make up the adjacent vibey and popular Century City Square.

P3 offers parking to the general public on a pay-on-foot or hourly rate basis, with members of Virgin Active enjoying 90 minutes free parking. The overflow from the Conference Centre and visitors to Hillsong Church will find great benefit from additional covered, secure parking.

Comprising of 5 levels of parking, which include a Basement, 3 regular levels and a roof level, P3 will add 324 additional parking bays to the precinct.

With a clear vision of P3 not being just another parking garage, an essential design objective was to include eye-cathing lines and appealing design features. This not only ensures that the building is complimentary to the remainder of the superbly designed precinct, but to build on Century City’s commitment to use art and points of interest across various developments to enhance the experience of all users.

Vivid Architects designed a randomly perforated aluminium cladding system as a façade across the building, which creates an exciting feature and allows for natural ventilation to the floors. The unexpected design aesthetic continues with the circulation staircase on the corner of the building facing Century City Square being fully glazed, set off by black, red and yellow tiled walls on the external façade.
A pocket park will be created at the pedestrian entrance and exit, with the existing footbridge crossing the canal serving as the main thoroughfare for pedestrians from P3 to the Conference Centre and Century Square. Century City prides itself on its Art Trial, which includes over 30 art installations of various sizes. It is intended to showcase another art treasure in this “green” space.

“The provision of ample, convenient parking in the Bridgeway Precinct has been a fundamental underlying strength of the success of Century City Conference Centre and Century City Square. By adding additional covered, user-friendly parking, we are future proofing the expected increase of visitors. We are also quite pleased to offer undercover parking to Virgin Active members”, says Colin Anderson, COO at Rabie. “Great urban planning should ideally ensure that minimum parked vehicles are in the external areas of a development. With ample underground and decked parking, we can offer a safe, pedestrian friendly experience to all our visitors, tenants and residents.”
