Green Star rated Business Centre officially opened

The Business Centre’s first serviced offices in Cape Town, which have received a Green Star SA – Office V1, Design Rating from the Green Building Council of South Africa, have been officially opened at Century City.

Ceri James, Sales and Marketing Director, said the R85million Business Centre, construction of which has just been completed, was already running at more than 50% capacity and inquiries were picking up strongly.

“It is a new concept for Cape Town and there is no doubt it is filling a gap in the market offering luxurious yet cost effective office accommodation on flexible leases with a wide array of back up services on tap. From the take up to date we expect to be running at full capacity in no time,” he said.

The Century City Business Centre offers 115 purpose built offices with a total of 370 work stations and a wide array of back up services and facilities including meeting rooms, an on-site café, comprehensive reception services, a postal service and SMS/email notification, video conferencing facilities, fully equipped kitchen facilities, daily office cleaning services and full-time centre managers.

“Because the Centre offers fully serviced offices, tenants are able to start running their businesses as soon as they move in making it ideal for any startup business, SME, or national business looking to avoid massive start up and operational costs, while expanding their operating footprint.”

He said they offered flexible leases of three, six or 12 months.

The Business Centre has an nine year track record of providing serviced office solutions to the business community in Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal and according to James they had

strategically chosen Century City as its first Cape Town location due to its central location and the high demand for offices in the precinct.

“In addition, technology underpins the backbone of The Business Centre and through Century City Connect, Century City’s carrier neutral, open access, fibre optic network, we are able to offer the fastest broadband speeds and packages in Africa.”

James added that the developers of the building, Rabie Property Group,  had also applied for a Green Star Rating from the Green Building Council of South Africa in the “As Built” category.
